Moissanite today is ethically lab-grown and is become a more popular choice than diamond due to how affordable it is to produce, not monopolized as diamonds have become from De Beers control of what diamonds should cost, and these are solely lab-grown and can't be minded.

Why Does Moissanite pass the diamond tester?

Diamond Tester is based on testing the thermal conductivity of the material, Moissanite has a similar conductivity as diamond, essentially taking on heat at the same rate as diamond. which is why cubic zirconia (imitation of diamond) won't pass and be considered fake
